The County Clerk Historical Maps collection is a sampling of property maps dating from 1793 to 1928 from a larger collection of over 30,000 property maps filed with the Westchester County Clerk’s Office from 1774 through the present day, and housed at the Westchester County Archives. There is an assortment of individual property and subdivision maps, as well as maps of entire cities, villages and towns. They were chosen for inclusion in this collection due to unique or interesting manmade or natural features such as identified buildings, lot numbers, property owners, and orchards, creeks and streams, and meadows.
This collection was created in 2009 as part of a Local Government Records Management Improvement Fund Grant from the New York State Archives.
